This page has a lot of content, but it doesn’t feel like it. Using vh100%, Susie uses space to draw attention to the key points.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Great use of bold to highlight keywords and phrases. Bold makes the content easy to scan and helps the reader understand the key points. </span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The subhead gives you everything you need to know about the webinar. The “attract new clients&#8221; part is hugely important, as it describes the transformation that having these new skills will help you achieve.</span></li></ul><p> </p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">What I’d test:</span></p><ul><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">I’m allergic to “skyrocket.” It is overused and, in my mind, lazy, especially in the age of turgent AI copywriting. </span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The CTA button is lost on the page. I would make it bigger and brighter. To do this, “Overnight Rockstar” could be reduced by 30%. </span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The header banner is the most valuable area of an opt-in page. Everyone sees it and reads it. There is a lot of wasted real estate there at the moment. 									<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This opt-in page is from Doggy Dan &#8211; The Online Dog Trainer.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I love how he owns the space with his name.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But that isn’t what caught my attention. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I immediately spotted he is running Facebook ads for a live once-a-week webinar.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Not just that, but he also gives the option to register for this week’s webinar or the next one.</span></p><h2>The Live v Evergreen webinar debate</h2><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Over the past few weeks, I&#8217;ve had many conversations with clients about webinars.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Should webinars be live, or should they be evergreen?</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Should we test the webinar by running it live and then move to evergreen?</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you follow the Russel Brunson approach, you should run your webinar live once a week for at least 12 weeks.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If the webinar is converting after 12 live deliveries, you flip it over to evergreen.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">One of my early clients in Kelso Digital took the Russel approach.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">We ran a weekly live webinar for 12 weeks. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They were new to the online business world.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They didn’t have a list and had never worked with the target avatar. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But they had all the subject matter expertise in the world.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It was tough going, but we got there in the end. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">By webinar 3, the ads kicked in, and we capped our spend to 150 people per webinar.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">By webinar 4 or 5, we dialed in the offer.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">By webinar 6 we were a well-oiled machine.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">By the twelfth webinar we had a high converting funnel.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But this isn’t everyone&#8217;s cup of tea.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Several of my clients are currently debating the merits of live v evergreen.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">And specifically, should they run the webinar live several times before moving to evergreen. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">So, let&#8217;s look at the pros and cons of starting with evergreen over testing with live webinars.</span></p><p><b>Pros of Testing The Live Webinar First</b></p><ol><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">You get to see people’s reactions live and judge what hits and what misses</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">You get comfortable with the content, and your delivery becomes more relaxed</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Your storytelling improves, and little stories pop out that only happen when you are on your feet and live in front of a group</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Every week, you get to debrief and implement changes for the next week</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">You have 12 weeks to find your hit webinar.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">You will get a higher conversion rate on a live webinar</span></li></ol><p><b>Cons of Testing The Live Webinar First</b></p><ol><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s a big time commitment</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">When you go from live to evergreen, there will be a drop in conversions</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">People behave differently on live v’s evergreen</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Saying the same shit over and over for 12 weeks in a row is tough going!</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">The rolling tech setup for weekly live webinars is slightly more complex than evergreen only </span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Some people have to wait almost seven days from when they register to attend the webinar, which causes a big drop in attendance. </span></li></ol><p><b>Pros of Testing The Evergreen Webinar First</b></p><ol><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">You start as you mean to go on</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Your <a href="https://michealoneill.com/5-important-metrics-and-how-to-optimize-for-each/">cost per lead</a> will be lower</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Your attendance will be higher</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Higher attendance will give you more detailed stats on drop-off points</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">You know positive tests will have long-term outcomes. Bravo, Grant 👏👏👏👏 </span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">OK, back into the <a href="https://michealoneill.com/simple-lead-magnet-opt-in-page-review/">opt-in page structure</a> and what we can learn and implement in our own funnels.</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There are two versions of this headline</span></p><p> </p><ol><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">“How I did X” </span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">“How Student Z did X”</span></li></ol><p> </p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Both of these are powerful mechanisms.</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In both cases, “X” is the primary desire of your audience. </span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Primary desires need to be specific. In this case, it is earning $5,000,000.</span></p><p> </p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But not just making $5,000,000. 									<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Now this <a href="https://michealoneill.com/launch-newsletter-issue-00070/">opt-in page</a> is not part of the funnel, but it is available as a link from the hero section of the website&#8217;s home page.</span></p><h2>Lead generation tip 1</h2><p><strong>If you’re launching an opt-in page please make sure it’s on your domain.</strong></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In this case, we can see they are using ConvertKit to host their opt-in page.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">If you are going to invest in ads please make sure you spend the 10 minutes setting it up so your opt-in pages display on a custom domain, to make sure you increase your lead generation success rate.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It’s a small thing but these little things mount up.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">ConvertKit is okay as a starting platform, but it is very limited</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">ConverKit has taken the creator world by storm. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Having worked with a number of clients who use ConvertKit, its landing page templates are limited and it doesn’t have a build-from-scratch option.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Before you invest in ads, invest in a landing page builder that is fit for purpose.</span></p><h2>Lead generation tip 2</h2><p><strong>Formatting is important</strong></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The headline shows promise &#8211; 7 things about the brain I wish I knew When I was younger.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is a variation of the popular Twitter kook- </span></p><ul><li style="font-weight: 400;" aria-level="1"><span style="font-weight: 400;">7 things I know at 40 about the brain I wish I knew at 20</span></li></ul><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But for the love of god, please watch the capitalisation of your headline. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Either go with proper caps or all first letter caps. Don’t just stick one random capital letter into the headline.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></p><h2>Lead generation tip 3</h2><p><strong>Making it about your prospect</strong></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I’m into Neuroplasticity. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I’m interested in it, but I don’t care about it. I care about what it will help me do.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I care about it because it will help me learn and adapt quickly.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">But that isn’t why I really care about it. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I care about it because it will make me a better guitar player and business person.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It will help me make more money. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It will help me achieve my goals faster and give me more time to sit on the beach sipping a pina colada (if that’s what you are into!)</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This opt-in page leaves me completely cold.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I don’t know who Gregory Caremans is, and I don’t care about his journey.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">When someone looks at your ad, all that is going through their head is…..</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">What’s in this for me? </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">How does this solve a major pain point for me right now? </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">How will my life be better once I have this?</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">They don’t care about Gregory’s stagnations and regressions.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">In the words of Jerry Maguire, “Show me the money”</span></p><p><b>Opt-in Page Swipe Files</b></p><ul><li aria-level="1"><a href="https://michealoneill.com/downloads/launch/0073/00073-s2-Brain-Academy-lead-magnet-opt-in.pdf"><b>SWIPE FILE: 0073 &#8211; Brain Academy &#8211; Lead Magnet Opt-in</b></a></li></ul><h2> </h2>								</div>

									<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As a L.A.U.N.C.H. subscriber you know we love a good Quiz <a href="https://michealoneill.com/launch-newsletter-issue-00070/">opt-in page</a>. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Well, Amy Porterfield has just launched a new Quiz so we had to dive in.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">So here&#8217;s a good <a href="https://michealoneill.com/quiz-opt-in-page-inside-a-quiz-to-launch-strategy/">Quiz opt-in page</a> example. Interesting approach here from Amy. </span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The primary promise of the Quiz is to discover if you are one of the 3 types of people who could replace their income with a Digital Course.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Then as the main above-the-fold image, she blurs out the three types.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is sure to build curiosity. Which will drive people to sign up for the quiz.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">It is also potentially a big waste of really valuable above-the-fold real estate.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I’m going to go out on a limb and say this page will convert really well for Amy but I would urge caution with this approach.</span></p>								</div>
