Your Lead Magnet should answer and solve a big problem preventing your audience from moving forward.

 

You then create a Mini-Front End product which is the logical next step for them to take once they have implemented the lead magnet.

 

This is something that provides huge value and either extends the results of the lead magnet or solves the very next problem they face.

 

Your Mini-Front End product should be priced between $17 and $47. Run Facebook Ads to your lead magnet opt-in page. Once someone opts in, they are then immediately offered the Mini-Front End product directly from the thank you page.

 

Work on your conversion rates and you can cover the cost of your ads with the revenue from your mini-product.

What Is A Landing Page?

If you want to attract email subscribers, you have to offer something of real value to people in exchange for their email addresses.

 

This “valuable asset” is called a lead magnet. To capture their email address you need a landing page.

 

The landing page or opt-in page verbalizes the value of the lead magnet.

 

It has one key focus, to motivate and convince people that what you have to offer is of greater value than giving you their email address.

 

Now, this might sound silly, but most people don’t want even more marketers filling up their inboxes.

 

We have to look at being invited into someone’s email inbox as an honor.

 

So our landing page or opt-in page needs to be highly focused and built specifically to convince people that what they are going to get far outweighs the inconvenience of more emails.

 

Once we have convinced them of this we then need the ability to collect and transfer their email address back to our email platform and deliver the lead magnet to them.

Want a high-converting landing page?

If your landing page isn’t converting, there is a very good chance I know what your biggest problem is.

 

If you want to build a high converting landing page, crafting a knock-out headline is essential.

 

The goal of your headline is to capture people’s attention and drive them to consume the rest of the content on the page.

 

You only have a second or two for someone to decide if they should remain on the page or leave.

 

In fact, with a really good headline, a visitor may well skip all the rest of the content on the page and jump straight to giving you their email address.

 

For a headline to be effective it should:

 

Satisfy self-interest

Help people avoid pain or gain pleasure

Be ultra-specific

Describe the desired transformation

 

Get your headline right and you are already 75% on the way to a high converting landing page.

When it comes to building high converting landing pages there are 5 things and 5 things only that should be included.

 

Now I have seen so many people fall into this trap, including lots of crap that isn’t just not helping with conversions but is preventing people from signing up.

 

The goal initially is to keep things as simple as possible. The five elements that you should have on your landing page are:

 

1. Headline

2. Image

3. Sub-head

4. 3-5 Bullet Points

5. Call To Action or CTA

 

The order I have listed them is also the order of importance and the impact on your conversion rate.

 

They are also the order that I work through to optimize your landing page conversion rates.

5 Landing Page Essentials – Sub headlines

If you are an online business owner who wants to grow your business, attract more subscribers, and have a bigger impact you need to grow your email list.

 

One of the keys to growing your email list is a high converting landing page offering an opt-in incentive.

 

A mistake that I see so many people make is failing to optimize their landing page sub-headline.

 

A sub-headline is 1-2 lines of text, maybe 10 – 30 words max, that sits below your primary headline.

 

The goal of the headline is to grab people’s attention, the sub-head then draws them in deeper and propels them to the Call To Action where you tell them what they should do.

 

The subhead also gives you an opportunity to qualify your lead and let your specific audience know that they are in the right place.

Landing Page Tips - What makes a good Sub-headline?

If you want someone to take an action, you must get them excited about the payoff they’ll get from the effort they invest.

 

Even people who do things expect nothing in return, getting an emotional pay off through from doing the thing without expecting a reward, which is a reward and pays off in its own right.

 

As with every piece of copy you draft your sub-headline should talk about the benefits and the transformation that someone will achieve through their actions.

 

Describing what their life will be like once they have downloaded and implemented the lead magnet is vastly more motivating that outlining a boring list of what is in the lead magnet.

 

Picture your perfect-fit client, imagine if they took your lead magnet and implemented it, how would their life change, what would they see hear, and do differently now that they have gotten the results that you know are possible for them.

 

This “new world” is what you want to describe in your headline and sub-headline.
